Zoe Queally MCSP SRP, Physiotherapist and specialist in the clinical application of Pilates
She uses a combination of osteopathy, Neuro-Kinetic Therapy (NKT), “Be – Activated” Muscle activation technique, acupuncture, massage and Pilates to treat her patients. Everyone whom enters the Fisioplus Pilates clinic is first fully assessed so that an appropriate and personalised treatment program can be given to each and every person.
Over the years she has worked in many clinics and hospitals throughout London alongside some of the UK´s top Spinal, Orthopaedic and Neurosurgeons as well as respected Sports Physicians. Since 2003 Zoe has lived in Barcelona, mastered Spanish, and set up Fisioplus Pilates which is dedicated to offering the best possible treatment in English and Spanish. She has also founded the Fisioplus Pilates training program offering top level continuing professional development (CPD) courses to Physiotherapists and qualified Pilates Instructors across Europe.
Zoe has treated numerous athletes, both amateur and professional, including dancers, climbers, martial artists, footballers, marathon runners, tri-athletes and rugby players from Blackheath rugby club and the England women’s national rugby team.
A large part of her day to day caseload however consists of people whom work hard in front of their computers for many hours and pick up repetitive strain injuries and postural neck and back problems.
Zoe has a passion for her work and loves striving to deliver the perfect combination of techniques which may include Neuro-Kinetic Therapy (NKT), “Be-Activated” Muscle activation technique, osteopathy, acupuncture, massage and Pilates to every patient that walks through the door.
This may be someone with a first time injury or someone with a chronic problem that has been to many different therapists in the past with little success. Zoe believes that the key to success is a thorough assessment, looking at the individual as a whole rather than a set of symptoms. Every person is unique and will have a different set of circumstances, causes and symptoms. Bring on the challenge!
“My speciality is helping people get better from all types of back pain and injury and explaining why they have the problem in the first place. I have found that in Barcelona there are many people unnecessarily struggling with these injuries whom don’t know where to turn.
Being a UK trained physiotherapist, I solve these problems following an in depth evaluation. I use a variety of treatment techniques addressing the cause to quickly put the problem right. I then like to empower the individual to maintain their own improvement by giving them an exercise program. It’s easy really and I love it!”
